Collegiate Nationals Eating Championship
-Contest Rules-

* Food Warriors will initially receive five plates of Food consisting of popular college food items.(Also Known as the "College Plate")

* All of the food Items will be "Finger Foods" whereby, no utensils will be needed or provided.

* Eaters must complete one plate before advancing to the next and will be required to stack their plates upon completion of a single plate.

* Food Warriors will be provided with pitchers of room temperature water, containing no ice, with plenty of water available if resupply is needed.

* Picnic Rules Apply. This requires that food is to to be eaten without dunking or pouring water on the Food Item(s). Also, mushing, mashing or mutilating the Food could result in a disqualification. Contest will be a seven (7) minute timed event.

* Food Warriors must complete each plate before moving onto the next one.

* In the event the Food Warrior(s) complete five plates prior to the 7 minute time limit, they will be immediately resupplied with another two plates from a designated food re-supply table.

Plates will be re-supplied by designated "Plate Runners."

* Two Minute "No Return" Rule means that Eaters must not suffer from "Unhappy Returns" for two minutes after the completion of the contest. Of course, the advent of "Unhappy Returns" during the contest will result in immediate disqualification.

* 30 second "No Chipmunking Rule" will also be enforced whereby contestants are required to swallow any food they have placed in their mouth at the end of the contest within 30 seconds or they will be assessed a pre-determined penalty.

* Eaters are responsible for any food debris within their eating area. Significant food debris will be calculated and assessed when determining the final tally of individual Food Warrior. Judges will not micro manage small or minute amounts of debris and will have complete and final authority over determining what debris is considered minor and what debris should be assessed toward individual Food Warriors totals.

* Eaters may use any condiments that are traditionally used with the food item. However, the massive and "food altering" application of an approved item may also be deemed as a "picnic profanity" and in violation of the "spirit" of picnic style rules . Substances without a proven history with the food item will not be allowed.

* Eaters may bring any drink they desire ( punch, coke, etc., with the exception of warm beverages)

* The winner(s) of the competition is determined by the total number of plates consumed. Partially completed plates will be estimated in fractional increments unless there is a tie for any of the top three positions. In such an occurrence a weigh-off will occur to determine the winner. Should a tie still occur after the "Weigh-Off" a two minute "Eat Off" will occur where the above indicated rules will be in place.

* Creativity and fun is encouraged but good sportsmanship is required

 

**CSTV and All ProEaters/AICE reserve the rights to adjust, change or edit the rules of competition. Eaters will be advised to any changes prior to the start of the competition
