Pete Czerwinski who attends McMaster University in Hamilton Ontario has been selected to participate in the Collegiate Nationals Eating Championship on April 19th, 2008 in San Diego California. The Association of Independent Competitive Eaters has seeded Czerwinski as the #2 Seed among a group of elite college Food Warriors. “Iron Pete” or “Furious Pete” has created a loud buzz among those in competitive eating circles when he recently broke the long held Steak Challenge Record by downing a 72 oz. steak in less than 7 minutes! Also, this 22-year-old Body Builder, Skier and Adventurer has also established a new standard in Bananas by downing 18 in only two minutes! Folks have already dubbed Czerwinski as potentially the greatest Food Warrior to emerge from Canada. It is likely that Czerwinski will take an express elevator to the top of the rankings after he competes in San Diego on April 19, 2008 during the Collegiate Nationals.
