True
to the policy as well as the name of our organization, the Association
of INDEPENDENT Competitive Eaters, as of January
12, 2005 the AICE rankings will include only independent
eaters.
AICE
prefers to not be put into a position to ask an eater to risk his
standing in another group by violating an existing contract. This
type of contractual agreement is diametrically opposed to the basic
concepts that AICE has chosen to adopt, that eaters
should be free to participate in any contest they chose. As such,
all eaters currently under contract to any other group will be removed
from the AICE rankings.
If anybody believes that
they or someone else should appear in AICE’s
ranking system, or be ranked higher, please send your comments and
reasons to ChowHound
Criteria
Back by popular demand is the AICE ranking system. Many eaters have called AICE Management to express their desire to have the traditional ranking system reinstituted in place of the four star system that is currently in effect.
Eaters have called for liberal criteria, thus allowing an Eater to be eligible based on having done at least one event in the past 18 months. Both a Food Warriors recent and past accomplishments will determine their ranking.
Coming Soon:
Eaters’s who have retired and have distinguished themselves as “Food Warriors of note” will be given consideration for the Competitive Eaters Hall of Fame.
